Snow Level 1,000 Feet

Woke up this morning with a blanket of snow covering the backyard and big lazy snowflakes floating downward. At 10:30 it is still on roofs and bare ground but has melted on pavements. One of my spindly, but evergreen backyard trees broke the higher set of supports holding it upright and looks loke a croquet hoop. I will try tying it back up later, if the trunk hasn't split. Too much weight from the snow on the leaves. The brugmansia looks fine.
This is only my second year in El Dorado Hills but I take it that this is not usual at our puny altitude. My theory - Al Gore must be visiting Sacramento.
